First you will visit the second largest graveyard in America in Habana’s city district Vedado and during a half hour tour you can see some of the approximately 100.000 gravestones, of which 90% are made of marble, and also hear a few stories about them.
Subsequently we drive across the square where the revolution took place, as well as many city districts, all the way to Ernest Hemingway’s finca in San Francisco de Paula where we visit said finca.
(Until End of 2017 it is not possible to visivt The Ernest Hemingway Finca - alternative program is the visit of the accommodation Hemingway´s in the Hotel Ambos Mundos)
When we drive down the city highway on our way back, we will have a short stop in Cojimar, the former fishing village and you can learn quite a few things about history and Ernest Hemingway, too.
After you have seen the eastern part of Havana, the trip continues on towards Casablanca, where we will also have a look at the statue of Christ and have a fantastic panorama view over Havana and the fort Del Morro.
When we reach the Vedado district, we will have a short stop at the Hotel National with its gorgeous park.
We can offer you a breathtaking view over Havana from the 33rd floor of the Foxa building.
The trip continues through Havana’s green lung, the city district Vedado with its many parks, Miramar, where 90% of all embassies are located. They established their offices in multiple mansions, as well as the house and street of Jose Fuster, who created a tribute to the work of Gaudi in Barcelona with tessellated art in his Vario.
At the end of our tour we will drive through the district Sybone, the suburbs of Havana that are often compared to Beverly Hills, all the way to your accommodation, where the tour ends after about 5 – 6 hours and you can safely say: ‘We saw all of Havana, everything from the very east to the very west of the city.’
